Caging Expanded- Non Traditional Settings Workshop

The exploration and use of the cage form as a bezel and stone setting or hollow form is a very distinctive and unique component to my personal Talismans and adornment work.

I use this technique specifically when I am in need of an unusual setting that allows one to view all sides of an object or stone and can be set regardless of an uneven or domed object.

This shape is also ideal to create negative space and distinction while holding the same space.
In this Intermediate workshop you will expand on the simple cage form to dig deeper into a thought provoking process of building, using and layering together different wires such as square, filigree, beaded and twisted wire to build and challenge yourself.

This workshop is all about wire, wire settings and the magnificent pieces that can be built using wire.

Explore Neck forms, rings, bangle bracelets and other objects.
